Proteomics and functional genomics

The laboratory has significant experience in analysis of macromolecular assemblies by affinity purification and mass spectrometry. We have also recently implemented genome wide siRNA screening technology. Our approach allows us to identify novel genes involved in nucleic acids metabolism.

The major projects involving high throughputs methodologies are:

  • Characterization of mycobacterial protein complexes as a part of large European consortium, SystemTB
  • Proteomic analysis of macromolecular assemblies involved in RNA decay in vertebrates using the DT40 chicken cell line as a model system
  • Identification of novel genes involved in RNA metabolism through genome wide siRNA screenings in mammalian cells
